Great sets. What are the most challenging cards in these rare sets? Any known complete sets?

Great sets, indeed!
Here are two Red Sun cards that I picked up in the past month (from board members, thank you!). I'm working on this set, although I cannot pretend to have done the heavy lifting in assembling the group -- many were obtained in a large lot purchase. I know of at least one complete set, and I'm guessing there are others. There are several T209-1 complete sets -- if you look back, board members have posted, and a few auction houses have sold them complete as well. Cheers, Steve |

Love the T209-1, beautiful cards and a challenge to put together. I know of one complete set on this board, and I'm pretty close at 13/16. If anyone has Cowell, Armstrong, or McGeehan, I'm a buyer!

Just about a year. I picked up Leon's lot of six last fall, and another five from Kevin Savage a month or two later. One on eBay and one on this board. I was lucky to win the Savage auctions, I picked up a bunch of really tough ones all at once, and for pretty good prices.

Here are my five T211s, and two of my three T209-1s, of which at least Walsh is apparently scrap. My third T209-1, Cowell, is visible in the upper left corner of the album page in the last picture.

Love the look of cards in your album. Are they Ultrapro pages?

No. I forget the name of the company, but they're long gone. I got the pages around 1992 or 1993, and those cards have been in there almost as long.

I put the T209-1s together about five or six years ago. Won an auction lot of 8 cards and then picked up the rest one by one. Pope and Lane were my toughies. I know of at least a couple other complete sets, and expect there are more. LINK PW = Net54

Great looking cards everyone. The T209-1s have some amazing colors
![]() ![]() While I don't collect full sets, I am looking for a T209-1 Walsh and a T211 Babb for my Columbus set. Both of these guys played ball in Columbus, Ohio. If anyone has doubles they are looking to move let me know.

I love the Red Sun cards. I don't have any T211's, but I do have these 2 Red Sun items.

Here is my completed T209-1 set, and the two inverted-blue overprints in my collection. For a history of Series One, visit my website and read the essay on the set (written by Tim Newcomb and me), and view other T209s from both series.
www.http//t209-contentnea.com My experience suggests that Booles is the most difficult card in the set, followed by Armstrong and Martin. In the article on Series One we discuss why some of the backs are stamped. I'll post some T211s later today. Good thread! Cheers, Mike

Great cards Mike. It is always gratifying to see familiar cards in friends collections. Love the research too.
