Darryl Dawkins - a great entertainer!
. . Alas, yet another younger than myself, is gone but never forgotten. Lots of fun memories - Take Care Darryl and Thank You. . .

I graduated from same High School as Dawkins (Orlando, Maynard Evans) albeit years later. He was a legend around these parts. Interesting character to say the least...he will be missed.

I got a chance to play in a tourney once where he made an appearance. He was in his prime (Maybe 22 years old) but he came down to the locker room and wished us all luck, both in the tourney and our hoop dreams. He was a nice guy with a helluva handshake... Chocolate Thunder indeed......
