Default FS - APBA Card Sets and Board Games

I grew up with APBA Table Top games since 1953 and never threw anything away. My inventory of card sets, most of them unused, in all sports is staggering - Baseball, Football, Basketball, Hockey, Boxing, Saddle Racing and even Bowling. I have multiple copies of baseball game boards - older and newer. I have Master Game Boards for Baseball and Football. I guess its time to start moving this stuff along.

The original game company itself survived nearly 60 years in Lancaster, PA and still exists in Georgia so many of the sets are still available. Some of the sets however are quite rare and have appeal and value to game collectors.

If you are familiar with APBA and are interested in almost anything the game has to offer, I would be happy to make a deal. Many of the card sets are in the $20 range and less. Bundling these with flat rate shipping boxes can keep the cost down even further.

They are not button pushing video games, but those who have thrown the "bones" and gotten 66s with the game on the line know the enjoyment of APBA.

Let me know if you have any interest in any of the games and I will put a focused inventory together for you. If you want to purchase, I will do my best to make it worth your while.

Thanks for looking. In this section I'm not sure anyone is looking, but time will tell.

ECL - Eastern Colored League - All Star teams from the best Negro League franchises in the East during this era
WSS - 12 Team Set of League winners from 6 different years for World Series replays
"F" after the year. - made by Frose (Sports Games Publishing) compatible with APBA game boards
JGT - Japanese Great Teams of the past
GTP - Great Teams of the Past - 60 different teams of note - original APBA issue that are relatively rare
BATS - Baseball All-Time Set - All-Star teams for each current franchise at the date of publication
CWS - Collegiate World Series set - 24 teams
This listing is attracting more interest than I anticipated. Pricing will be competitive with recent EBay sales. Bulk purchases will save on shipping over EBay. Other sports are available as are game boards, old and new. I may end up keeping a few of the sets listed above, which could mean a higher price for those sets but money talks if you really want those years. The original APBA sets from the 50s are quite valuable as collectibles. The original sets from the 60s are somewhat rarer and carry a smaller premium. pricing is all about supply and demand and current availability. Please inquire about the specific years you want. Package deals will be competitive.

I grew up playing Strat-O-Matic more than APBA, but appreciate APBA as well. I never realized APBA produced pre 1900 seasons or a Negro League set.

Default Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?

The following sets are available for the APBA Football Game.
All sets except the last one and the 1964 AFL set
are complete NFL sets.

1955
1958
1964 AFL only
1972
1979
1981
1984
1989
1994
1999
2000
2001
2003 College Football BCS set (not produced by APBA)

There was a major change in game boards around 1980 and the older sets may not be compatible with the newer game boards and vice versa.

Once again competitive pricing will be offered if there is any interest.

There are baseball sets still available. There is an original 1957 set in near mint condition(quite rare), that should be of interest to a vintage game collector. I can also supply game boards from this era as a compliment to the 1957 set. I also have a separate run from 1956-58 that I will keep unless there is strong interest.

For those of you who don't have any idea what an APBA Football card looks like, I am adding a scan from the stars of the 1958 championship game.
