I was looking through the archive at a cool thread where people post their 5 favorite cards of all time and decided to start this one. I have a tendency to focus more on the cards I want (but don't yet own) than the ones already in my collection. So post the 5 (or so) cards in your collection that are your favorite as of today. I couldn't pick 5, so I'm posting 6

Mantle may be the only full name signed card, I believe my Wheat is the single highest graded signed HOF T206 in existence, and the Feller I drove to Van Meter to get it signed in person a year before he passed.

I've received several emails from Net54ers asking me if I really "paid a penny" for my 1952 Topps Mantle (Post #17). So, here is my response to anyone here interested....... I was 14 years old in the Fall of '52. Since the Spring of '52, I had acquired 100's of 52T cards (spent a lot of nickels buying 5-cent wax packs, traded a lot, and won a lot of cards while flipping). And yes, I was very fortunate. My folks stored my original cards (1947-1952) while I was away 4 years in the Air Force. Included in the 5-cent pack with Mantle were these four Hi #s...... ![]() ![]() Cannot pass up this chance to display 3 more of my favorite goodies............ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() T-Rex TED . |
