Trophy - Hal Chase T206
Paul's 1916 Giants trophy got me wondering.
Does anyone know the significance of the trophy being held by Hal Chase on the T206 card and it's whereabouts today? Are there any actual photos of it?

My understanding is the trophy was presented to Hal for returning to the team after he threatened to leave (or did in fact leave). This is just off the top of my head and know someone else can add more detail.
Would love to see the original photo!

My dad thought that Hal was holding the Temple Cup - although that series was retired in 1897, he figured that in his travels, Hal could have met the originator, William Chase Temple, who as owner of the Pittsburgh franchise started the Temple Cup in 1893 (can be seen in HOF) - but not true. The silver loving cup that Hal is holding in the T206 image was presented to Hal by his NY teammates when he returned from holding out (and playing for an outlaw league in CA) after being snubbed as manager.
