Morales "Mickey Mantle" bat
Went to a local auction yesterday. There was a signed (allegedly) by Mickey Mantle bat with a COA from the great Christopher "I never saw an autograph I didn't like" Morales. It went for $145.00. When the guy who won it realized that no one else was bidding, he knew something was wrong and started asking around. I think he was still trying to get his money back when I left. This is an auction frequented by a lot of flea market vendors, so I have seen a lot of similar garbage purchased there. Good to see that the word is finally filtering down to these folks about Morales and his ilk.

Hey, word of mouth and such works wonders sometimes. The Marino ring was the biggest forgery operation of course, but wouldn't we all love it if the Roaches could get shut down or their useless authenticators
