I've lurking here for some times, I'm more a non-sport type of guy but I have been looking at some vintage baseball cards lately (vintage being OPC 1965 -> 1970) and I was wondering if we can find the same variations in the OPC sets as there are in the Topps sets, I know the sets are smaller i.e 196 cards for the 1966 OPC sets compared to the 598 cards in the Topps set.
In the Topps set there are variation for card #43, 62, 91, 101, 103, 104, 183 Do we have the same variation in the O-Pee-Chee set? |

Off hand, I would guess not.

I kind of agree with you DRC and I see there are quite a few viewing but no definite answer yet.
Assuming there is no variation on the OPC sets, that trigger another question, what variation of the Topps set was used in the OPC? |

According to the 2011 Standard Catalog, they say the following:
67 OPC set has "corrected versions of the checklist and McCormick card". 68 OPC set has "only the 'b' versions of the checklists and name-color variations" 69 OPC set has "only the later-printed 'b' versions of the variation cards" They don't mention variations for any other sets in your date range. |
