[B]Hi Guys!
Sometimes the stars just align right and you get on a lucky streak. Our's started as this year's National in Chicago when we were able to purchase one of the rarest bobbing heads in the hobby. It's an early 60's Minnesota Vikings Promotional doll used as a "point of sale" merchandising tool to sell the earliest series NFL bobbing heads. It's about 13" tall. These dolls were never offered for sale to the general public. Until this point, I had only known of one other Vikings Promo. We displayed it on the last few days of the National and it got a lot of interest. We are undecided on how we will eventually offer it for sale as we are mulling over several possibilities. Our streak continued this past week with an even more amazing purchase. It too, is an early 60's Promotional doll, but this one is of the New York Yankees(see photo below). About 10 years ago, a well known auction house offered one for sale. we do not know of another. Since these are the only two baseball promos that are known to exist- this doll has to be considered even rarer than any of the NFL promos. It's been quite a couple of weeks for us. Just as a reminder, we (Inside the Park Collectibles) have an auction ending this Friday - August 26, 2011. There are 250 quality lots of vintage sports memorabilia with No Buyer's Premium and No Hidden Reserves. You can view all the items, register & bid by visiting our web site at: www.insidetheparkcollectibles.com Thanks! Lou |

Were you the one with that awesome bobblehead case in the 100 row at CHI?

Hi!
Thanks for the kind words. Yes- that was our booth. We had over 500 bobbing heads and hundreds of other figural items including Hartlands, Kails, Gibbs-Conner banks and more. A picture of our booth is below. Lou |

I wish we could, but transporting 500 + bobbing heads and other fragile memorabilia is too expensive to visit the West Coast. The furthest west we go is Chicago. We do the National and the Sun Times Show in Chicago. We hope you can make it sometime.
