I've never seen these before Frank. Were they all the same size? The reason I ask is that the Irvin looks hand cut with a lot more border than a kid might choose--maybe there were dotted lines or such where they were to be cut. Also interesting to note that all three of your cards depicted Negro League stars who were among the first to cross the color line. Maybe that was the theme of the set--just guessing. |

Hello Frank, This looks like something I recall having back in my "orphans" file with the Standard Catalog of BBC. If memory serves (and it's going AWOL more often these days), I had some indication these were Puerto Rican or Cuban, based on production values and player selection. |
