The National being 500 tables down from last year had pretty slim pickings. Anything nice you found were priced at auction prices (with juice). I think the main reason I go to the Nationals each year, is to keep in touch with many fellow collectors. Here are some items I picked up so Tammy knows I actually went out there.. |

Not much of a haul, unfortunately, but I did sell everything I came in with. Thanks, RM, for the Marquard. |

Forget auction with juice prices, some folks were outright out of their minds. I couldn't believe the prices that some wanted for mid-grade T206s. Wonder where they pulled those numbers from???? I saw a few cards that peaked my interest but were either way out of my league, trimmed, or really worn. I did pick this up at Scott's table, which I'm quite happy with. However, I would consider this a borderline overgrade on SGC's part. |

Bruce, impressive pick-ups, some extremely nice pieces. It was great meeting you and seeing that N172 Brouthers in person. Certainly one of the best out there. |

Picked this up from Steve on my way out Friday. Way out of my area but I love the visual & got a swinging deal on it! I was hoping some of our Cuban collectors could help. I was also kind of hoping that lovely creature in the front row is Effa Manley, but with my luck she is probably the local miss sugar cane queen, 1928. |

Brian, I did see Alan Silvers and his son Kyle. Originally we were going to meet at the show Thursday at 1 pm but Alan wasn't feeling very well and decided not to come at all. Then Doug twisted his arm and they came to the dinner. |

Here are a few of my favorites from the show. I was suprised to find the Crofts Candy Zimmerman, it was tucked in a pile of T206s. Other notables but not scanned are a 38 Goudey Joe D., three Collins-McCarthy's, seven E90-1s, E97 Moore, 1915 CJ Moore, and T200s of both Philly teams. |

That is hilarious! I started reading this thread and was about 10 deep before I noticed it was 2 years old! It is cool to see all the T210s that Zach came home with in '06. I recognize the Chase-Maysville Series 6 because it is now mine, but I acquired it from another owner who must have gotten it from him. |
