I got an email from Ebay with a 10% off coupon that I thought was the usual scam but I logged into my Ebay account and there it was in my messages from Ebay.10% off with a maximum of $100 off.

Here's how to redeem this offer:
1. Go to www.eBay.com and log in.
2. Start shopping. Be sure the seller accepts PayPal.
3. Pay for your item with PayPal before the expiration date: February 28, 2008 11:59:59 PM PST.
(Make sure the email address on your eBay account is also on your PayPal account. Find out how.)
4. Enter the redemption code:

Yes, sir, I got one too... I wondered if it was in response to the 'boycott'. The expiration date on the coupon is 2-28-08.

This just means I still pay the same, 'cause whoever I'm bidding against will bid 10% more, too. So I'll pay the same, the seller will pay more in fees, both eBay and Paypal, then the seller will get what's left.

Still, it is a good deal.

The old line, "We are all equal, just some of us are more equal than others," comes to mind.
That 10% coupon (as opposed to the $10 one) could really come in handy if you've been saving up to buy that PSA 6 green T206 Cobb!

Well mine is definitely 10%, just like okday's.

And with 1% more through KickItBack,

that is a total of 11%. And I now know that KickItBack does work, I transferred just over $12 from them to my Paypal account.


I guess eBay looks at a person's past and recent buying, and has a plan on which incentive would best provoke that person into bidding up an item. Obvious, but sometimes forgotten, is that eBay makes money when you bid, not only if you win. So they're just after more bids to raise that winning price.

i did not get one either,but if you apply for an ebay/paypal credit card you can recieve 10% off or $10.00 off. so i'm guessing if you have the card already you recieved the message from ebay.

I got the 10% offer, but I don't have the credit card. I may well apply for one if the day comes when I bid in something fairly costly.

I'm still tickled with the way KickItBack works. I half suspected it was a scam, but it is the real deal... I HIGHLY recommend it.

Robert - you and I are not special, apparently. Don't worry, I made my own coupon that says "World's Best Ebayer" just so I would feel better about it. I can send you one as well if you want. Of course, yours would have to say "World's Second Best Ebayer."

Well I got a coupon for one account that I use for buying but it is like $10 off a BIN purchase... Really weird.

I got nada on my other account and I don't think I have ever gotten anything coupon wise.

Well I used my 10% off for a Reulbach with glove Hindu back white border tobacco card, a T206. So once he arrives, I'll one of each of these 4 possible backs, Piedmont 150, Sweet Caporal 150 fac 25, Sovereign 150, and Hindu. Now the question is, does Reulbach with glove showing exist in El Principe de Gales or in Sweet Caporal 150 fac 30 ????


One annoyance in the deal was that it was done via a counteroffer on a BuyItNow listing. I couldn't figure out how to use KickItBack in the counteroffer process.... oh well, greedy of me to want that 1%.
