How do prices stack up when comparing T206's to M116's for mid to high grade HOFers? Perhaps 10% less, or 10% more, or the same? Or more like 20% ? |

In general, M116s are much much rarer, but cheaper. |

Actually i would call the M116 cards "Scarcer" not rarer than the T206 cards. I love the set but there are only 2 real RARE cards in the M116, the 2 team change cards. |

Mark, what's the difference in meaning between scarce (scarcer) and rare (rarer)? I thought they meant the same. Well, maybe not always the same, I would never order a medium-scarce steak |

Well, i am sure we have debated this many times before but all it takes is a quick Google search of both words and it says it all. |

That's some good data....I like that your sample has 5 specimens in each category because I think there are cards that sell for more, or less, in a given grade, due to their own characteristics....while they have the same grade by a third party...Also there are cards that will sell for more than their technnical grade...This Matty presents almost as nice as the Clarke and is several grades lower due to a surface wrinkle. I think it would sell for more than a 3 if it were in auction (the Clarke could be a half grade high but I don't really care). It's all about supply and demand........regards |

I've never even heard of a team variation for those two. They must be ultra rare. |
