Been looking at Cobb stuff the past day or two...which prompted the question..which is your favorite Cobb card? and least favorite?

For me...

Favorite E98...unique pose to me...

Least ....D380...just ugly as all get out...of course I wouldn't pass on the card though

so many great cobby cards.

of the attainable ones -

For a while....

the Cobby leaning on the bat was my favorite (e92 and similar)

I am warming up to the Cracker Jack cobb and that might become my favorite -

BUT

I hate to be vanilla on this.... but my favorite is the T206 green portrait. Hard to beat this classic!



As far as least favorite...
Any card that doesn't really resemble cobby (some strip cards, and some popular well-loved e cards).

My favorite is by far the D304 General Baking. Classic pose.
I agree, the D380 is God awful, as is his pose on the E90-1,
which incidentally is the same pose only in color.
That image is very boring if you ask me.

I don't own any (someday...sigh) and love the T206 portraits, but I really am nuts about the Miner's Extra Cobb...something about that card...

there are so many great cobb cards...that wilard...the t206 greenie (which is the favorite I own)...but these days my favorite is the sporting life post card pose...he looks so innocent and friendly! Oh and the ugliest...probably that head shot strip w/ the yellow background w/lipstick.

Least fave is any strip card that doens't resemble him.....I like the CJ but don't own one so here are a few I do own.....The E102 was my first big purchase (at the time) and cost $900 for the originator of this board's predecessor, John S....

i really like that schapira image. the cobb CJ is also a classic. And you really cant beat the red t206 cobb.

Although my personal vote would probably go for the bat/off T206, the red portrait is such a classic I think it out to be up for consideration. I personally like it more than the green on a pure aesthetics level.

This has always been my favorite image of Cobb. I also like the Maple Crispette, Both Wolverine News, T206 portraits, & CJ. Not sure which is my least favorite.

Those strip cards are pretty damn ugly ! I don't have a favourite Cobb card, but i've always liked the t206 bat off. Some of his caramels are neat, but I wish the e93, e94 and e98 didnt use the same image of Cobb jumping. i mean the best hitter of his era or all time, and he isnt even holding a bat ! Whats the deal with that ? The e95 is a neat card because I've always liked those dark Tigers caps from back then. The one where hes leaning on the back is neat same with the e90-1. I guess i basically like all of his cards, but the t206 bat on makes him look too fat...

Rare factory cut oddball sets "tobacco/candy" are the only "cards" I like collecting!

Ahhh, I just noticed the V89 & W575-2 Cobbs have the same image, Cool!
