Were the cards inside slabs, or were they raw and just stacked inside the shoebox. |

I don't know what scans you guys are looking at, but the 52 Topps pictured in this thread are clearly authentic and not reprints. |

Was the "nice reprints" jab just tongue in cheek or is there a reason to believe they are reprints? I don't collect the 52 set so I am curious why the cards are deemed to be reprints. If they are or aren't reprints, it should be made clear to a guy who came on this board seemingly innocent enough and was smacked with an allegation of counterfeit cards. |

nice find...some of those are pretty sharp! I DO believe he was joking about them being reprints and that it was just a jab at the thread being in the wrong place! |

Ryan..these cards are going to go nowhere near what they would have...you don't need $12 shipping on them. |

I don't have a PSA membership and since I'm only getting a percentage of the selling price I don't think it's worth my time to get them graded. |

Well, if I'm wrong I'm wrong but the dot/moire pattern did not look good at all on the scans. Just seemed too good to be true. |

The cards look too good to be true. I agree with the others, makes a lot of sense to get cards PSA graded. You will double your money. It's especially true with the Bill Dickey, it will grade near mint. |

He mentioned in the description of the Dickey that it had a light crease, so it will not grade NR MT, it will grade VG. |

The Dickey would not have graded anywhere close to a 7 even without the crease, probably a 5. Cosidering these are mid grade Vg to EX+ the seller will probably do just fine as there are many collectors of 52 Topps that prefer raw just as there are T card collectors who prefer raw. |

Scott- if you say follow the underperforming cards, buy them, and get them graded, then it follows if they are graded they will sell for more money. |

i do think it is worth getting 52 topps high #'s & HoFers graded if they are nm or better, but these are not nm. poor guy comes here with some nice cards/good find story and gets slammed for being "an over anxious seller" his "high shipping rates" and posting scans of obviously real 52's that are called "reprints". nice job guys, no wonder people don't want to post here. |

The cards are authentic....Canada has been a good source over the years for 1952 Topps cards and especially the Hi#s. |

Well, the Dickey (Not yours, Ted) is a slight MC on the back. I don't mind saying, since the whole thing is so publicized now. Not that I would mind owning it. |

I'd have to agree with DC's earlier comment about the post-war board, and add that the rest belongs in the BST. |

In this situation I made an exception for the good of the board to let this stay. I think we can all see when someone is abusing the board and it really doesn't happen that often, anymore. This was a new poster with a story worthy of the first page, imho.......regards |
