I was thinking that it would be really cool to watch some vidoes of players like Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner, Walter Johnson etc. Does anyone have anything like this or know where to buy. |

I'd highly reccommend Ken Burns Baseball. It's expensive (about $100), but I think it's worth it. It's ten discs and over 23 hours long. The first five discs are very informative and cover pre-war baseball. |

I have only watched the first four or five, but I agree with Ray that the Ken Burns documentary is great. |

The video version of The Glory of Their Times that was on PBS years ago, that is a fantastic work. I wish they'd release it on DVD. |

Not to hijack this thread but I went to the Baseball Hall of Fame site. Great place. I have just one question. Who are the 4 morons that didn't vote for Cobb to be in the Hall of Fame? 222 out of 226 votes. Matty 205? Ruth 215? And Johnson 189? 189 of 226. What did these guys have to do? Leap tall buildings in a single bound? Some voters really were clueless when it came to greatness. |

Youtube is a beautiful thing. I agree with everyone here who has also recommended Ken Burns Baseball - it's the best and if you haven't seen it before here is a short clip from Inning 1 |
