In the spirit of that BST thread, I was wondering...What was your worst attempt at flipping pre-war cards for profit ? |

circa 2000, I bought the ex-Jim Copeland/Sotheby's 1873 Boston Bostons Team Cabinet (Al Spalding, both Wrights, etc) for $3,000 and resold it through MastroNet for $1,500. I assume it's worth quite a bit more than $3,000 today. |

I bought a cheap Wagner reprint, soaked it in coffee, and then sold it to some knucklehead for $1800 a few years ago... |

I'm and always have been more of a collector than a flipper...and I must say I've never lost money on a flip...and there have been few. I bought my t4 melchoir obak as a flip...and this green cobb....and this matty for a flip...but I fell in love with them and couldn't do it. |

I dropped a reprint Wagner in a cup of coffee. Ruined a perfectly good cup of coffee. |
