It used to be called VBBC. I had a subscription at one time. I think the last issue I got was #38. Great magazine. I have the complete run from issue 1 to 38, minus #7. Anybody know if there were any issues after #38? If anybody has a #7 for sale, I'd be interested in buying it. |

VCBC went down the drain some years ago, leaving a lot of subscribers high and dry. It more or less whithered away rather than flame out. There were multiple promises of issues to come but #38 was the swan song. |

there was a thread on this a while back where the guy who ran the mag came on and took accountability for anyone left high and dry. is #7 hard to find? did they not send it to subscribers? I was a subscriber until the end but my mags are in my parents basement so i can't reference them now? |

VCBC kind of bridged the gap between the years covered in Old Cardboard and the modern era. Beckett had a Vintage magazine out for a while, but I guess that folded, too. I'd like to see Old Cardboard venture more into the 50's and early 60's which are the years I'm most interested in. |

I subscribed around issue 20-something, but later bought a run of all the back issues except #7 which was out of print by that time. I'm not sure why that issue ran out. |

I have it. It contained an expose/editorial slam of PSA written by then-publisher Dennis Purdy. He called grading services Smoke Detectors Without Batteries. It sold out completely. |

You need to make a pdf file of that article so folks who haven't read it can finally have a good chuckle. Any shot you might do that for us? |

pay someone to make a copy of the whole issue. It's the only one I'm missing. |

I loved the survey they used to do on all the dealers and auction companies. I think the voting was pretty much dead on. If I remember correctly, Scott B. was voted number one or two with Mark M. |

Also had a very disturbing interview with "Daniel Paul" about his expertise in card restoration with some remarkable before and after photos. Mr. "Paul" and this was ten years ago stated words to the effect that he was capable of performing restoration that was virtually undetectable. |

....#7 was not "sold out" in a traditional sense....i was told (by dennis or don betz) that all remaining printed issue were bought up by psa. |

In the past it's been pointed out that there are copyright issues and it might not be legal to "reprint" entire stories on a public forum. |
