Need Some Advice

Hey everyone,

I posted several weeks back about me wanting to start collecting tobacco cards featuring Brooklyn players. Several of you gave me some good advice. I wanted to start with either T205 or T206 cards (I still do).

As you know, there is a fair amount of competition for them on Ebay. Is it worth trying for these cards, probably the T206 cards, or should I look for other types of tobacco cards (Brooklyn players)?

Any suggetsions?

Did you try to shop the bst (post a want ad ?) Hang in there, take your time and I am sure you will pick up the cards you want. Have fun

It seems to me it is easier to find cards of Brooklyn players in the T206 and T205 sets than just about any pre-WW1 set. From the same era, T201s (Mecca Double Folders) and T202s (Hassan Triple Folders) are also relatively common when compared to many others from circa 1910. I prefer the t206s and T202s. The T206s have some great poses of Brooklyn players, which I've heard were called the Superbas at the time, after a theatrical company.
