Help identifying an old baseball pin

The scan below includes a Sweet Cap Domino Disk of Rowan, a Habana cigar label, and a pin about an inch wide that shows what looks like a baseball player and says captain on the side.
The back of the pin says: H.B. Windha, 191 Seneca St. Buffalo NY
the pins also says it was made by the whitehead and something company from newark NJ.
The cigar label came in the same lot as these 2 pins, so I don't know if it is associated with them at all.
Does anyone know what this captain pin is? A value? Also, if unrelated are cigar labels worthless? not sure why it was with this lot.

The Whitehead Hoag Co. Newark N.J.-- they were pretty prominent manufacturers of pinbacks, buttons, etc. from the 1890's until the 1930's (and maybe beyond). They printed the Sweet Caporal baseball pins. Unfortunately, this means it could have been made for almost anybody.

The white pin you have with Captain on it is known as a position pin. It is from a set, circa 1910, that is made up of generic ball players in different poses and then their playing position is writting on the pin. There are many different types of circa 1910 "position pins". Some have all gold backgrounds, some have white backgrounds like yours but have red and white uniforms instead of blue and white, etc. Below is a checklist of all the players in the set-
Batsman
Captain
Catcher
Centre Field
First Base
Left Field
Pitcher
Right Field
Second Base
Short Stop
Third Base
Umpire

For the most part they can be found pretty easy and aren't worth as much as many pins of the same era because of the generic images used. I would put a $20 value or so on your Captain pin because of it not being too difficult and because of the staining on it.
