T207 Value Help

Looking at a 1912 T207 Brown Bkgd, Ivan Olson PSA 5. The seller wants $88 for it...My 2003 SCD lists EX at $50. Has the value gone up that much over the last 2 years or is the seller asking way too much?

2005 guide is $70.00 ex condition. Seems like everything is higher, caramel cards are going for much higher prices, 2 x or more in some cases.

The 2006 SCD lists this card for $200 in high.

I wouldn't say "way too much," but it's a little more than it would bring on ebay. Don't expect to be able to find one for as little as $50.

88 dollars is a little high, Ive been collecting t207s for about 2 yrs now. 75 is more like it

You won't be buying many pre WWI vintage baseball card if you are not going to be paying more than than catalog for a card, often multiples of what the catalog lists. I sold a graded T207 for triple SMR, wasn't going to take less, given the scarcity of the cards. The occasional sporadic demand for the issue called for a couple of relists, well worth the extra relisting fees. Best approach is to study past ebay sales to ascertain what a card is worth.
