1904 Red Sox Question

Hello,
Hope this is alright to post this question here. Just received a Sporting Life Composite of the 1904 Champion Boston Americans. In it is picured Jacob Stahl.
Here lies my confusion. I always believed that in 1904 Chick Stahl was playing for Boston and Jake had come in around 1908 or so. Can anyone shed any light on this? I believe the piece is original, at least it was described as so. Any help would be, well, helpful.

it woould have Jake in 1904, but he did play for Boston in 1903. As I understand it, the 1904 composite should carry the Champion notation, and Jake was in Washington that season. Does the picture look like Jake or Chick? If the former, than it looks like an error on the Composite itself, although I have no idea if there is a correct version as well.

Jake played for Boston , came back in 1908 and finished with Boston in 1913
