I think GAI does a lot of good stuff but this just looks terrible. |

SGC, folks. Never a card condom there. |

Certainly better than an oversized PSA holder. I just got a card back from GAI with the insert. At first I didn't like it, but I'm ok with it now. |

That is bizarre. I have a number of GAI graded pre-war cards and they all have the same type of insert as SGC. Does anyone know what the explanation here is? |

It was probably graded when GAI first started and only had "standard" slabs. They were probably not expecting to grade odd-sized pre-war cards. |

That holder sucks. Speaking of PSA, I almost always send only standard sized tobacco issues to PSA, not any caramel cards. That keeps the cards out of the condoms and despite how most feel, PSA cards still carry the most clout when it comes to resale. |

resale is less of a consideration than aesthetics. |

i would be very disappointed to get back graded cards looking like that. they are not "1st graded" but i would hope early on in gai slabbing, that has to be the explanation. they should reholder for free as these are pathetic. |

I just got back a GAI Maple Crispette a couple days ago with that insert. I'm not thrilled, but don't hate it either. I'm going to call them Monday, & see what's up with them. |
