normally you would see an image related to baseball, but since they printed other things as well, this occasionally happens. I once saw a t206 with the front of a "bird" card printed on the back. |

Scott, you believe this is a legit error? I believe it was a rubber stamp or image being printed by a photocopier or some sort like that since the image is awfully clear. |

I just noticed the "ghost" image is wearing a suit and a tie. There's no way it was a factory printing error back in 1910's. |

I think it's "printers scrap" - someone was testing some other item to be printed, on the back of a discarded sheet of t206s. |

Well it looks like a scrap to me. Looks like it was hand cut and the printing on the front is off. That's probably why they scraped it and used it check another series of cards. |

it would be very difficult to feed the card through a copier, if not impossible. |

the image looks like he's wearing a bb uniform in that one,not suit and tie...but close enough for me to believe yours is real mistake. |

Anyone else have an opinion? I would like to here form some of the T206 experts. I know it looks different but has anyone seen anything like it before? I would love to find out who is the person on the back. Rob |

I will assume the role of a t206 expert since i almost have the whole set and a bunch of 'error' cards besides them.I agree with Scott. The card looks to be hand cut and it seems to just be an unrelated image on the back, possibly a rubber stamp, possibly a printing test run. |

I took a good look at the card when I received it and also sent an enlarged scan to the T206 Museum website and we came to the conclusion that it was not a mistake that happened in 1909. So I contacted the seller and he told me he would give me a refund. So I mailed it with insurance back to him so you guys might see it back up on ebay again. Rob

I wouldn't have thought of doing that, but it was really smart. If it had been a valuable card, the t206museum would have ignored your request for information and instead asked how much you wanted for it. The fact that they said it wasn't a 1909 error pretty much guarantees they really thought it was more modern. But I don't have a good feel for their level of expertise - most of what they have on their web-site is stuff they filched from others. |

It is amazing how much "printer's scrap" we see associated with the T206 issue. I know that they are the most common "T" card, but do the same type of cards exist with T205, T207, etc.? |

I think based on population,e92's have more printing/miscut errors than anything else.I have one that has parts of 2 fronts, parts of 3 backs, with a clear image of the back on front and vice versa |
