I need some help. I recently sent a PRO graded 7 (Lou Gehrig) to PSA for crossover and they returned it "evidence of trimming". I since measured it for accuracy and it seems to be exact. My question is should I crack it open and sell it "possible trimmed" or list it as PRO graded 7???? Since I'm new here, I haven't figured out how to post my photos yet. Thanks for any suggestions. |

it's harder to find an UNTRIMMED card in a PRO holder than a nun wearing a pink bikini........ |

You could try cracking it out of the PRO holder and then sending it to PSA. If PSA doesn't see the PRO holder, they might not conclude it's trimmed. |

Paul has an excellent point. It should be submitted at least 3 times before you give up! Unfortunately Tom is correct too, most PRO slabbed cards are trimmed. Remember, the size is meaningless, the edges and corners show the trimming. May we have a scan? |

I have very little problem detecting most alterations (I know, I don't work for a grading company, but somehow I can do it anyway), but I'm weak on detecting non-obvious trimming. Can anyone out there give us a quick tutorial (other than 'get a ruler')? Thanks! |

Same thing happened to me. Trimmed N28. I submitted it to SGC to confirm my conclusion, ended up selling it as trimmed at a huge loss. |

Sell it in the PRO holder and (it will essentially be redundant) tell people it didn't cross. That way you don't have to crack it out and risk damaging it, you get whatever benefit you get from having it in a holder, and you have a clear conscience. |

rather than tapering to the edge (of course, you need a magnifying glass--that would probably be best, a microscope would be overkill, and you'd just see layers and spots--to compare you un-holdered Gehrig with a common's edges. If it still looks good to you-- |
