Here's a cool 26" plaster plaque of some sort, of a basketball player that I got today, but the arm and leg got broken in shipment....paid a whopping 99 cents, only bidder on eBay....I was going to send the guy some more money once I got it....but now that money will go toward restoration. I had a feeling it could get broke, plaster and odd shape. Has one bolt with nut on the back for fastening it to a backing/wall. Must have been some kind of advertising piece. What a shame it got damaged. I'd guesstimate it from the mid 1940's...no latter than the 40's, maybe late 30's, from the knee pad...at an advertising show I'd expect about a $250.00 price tag (in good shape). The seller made an effort to pack it well...but it takes more than an effort for a piece like this, it takes a strong commitment and keen packing skill. |

Keith, Nice pickups...I don't know that much about photos, but I especially like imperials. It seems like that's the first imperial I've seen that wasn't mounted on a board, usually grey I guess. What are the dimensions? So do you have that book: History of Athletics at Princton? It's one I've been looking for, but it seems to always go for pretty good dough...I'm looking to steal one for $100 though. |

Thanks Carlton. Well, I am not sure the actual definition of an imperial cabinet, so maybe I misused the term. The photo measures 14 by about 11 inches and it is mounted on a board of a ligher tan color. |

Bobby Knoop's Gold Glove Award from 1966. A neat Mid-Century Modern Design, and IMO the best variation of the Rawlings Gold Glove Trophies... |

I hope my buddy Mike doesn't see this, but I've always thought Bobby Knoop was almost as good as Mazeroski. He deserved that glove, to be sure. Nice. |

Picked this up... I think its pretty cool. Would love any input on it, recorded sales, value, if anyone has seen it before etc. I do not have my camera with me and the sheet music is to large for the scanner... This is the best I could do for now. The copyright is "1885, National Music Company" |

Just got this bat today in the mail. A circa 1905 Nap LaJoie decal bat. This bat could have been used by lajoie because the handle is hand turned which was not common for store model bats. My other pick up is a 1860's bat that i bought from fellow forum member Mark. |

To go along with Rob's pickup, here's one I just snagged. It's the only piece known to be signed by BOTH Chapman AND Mays! (Same sheet, signed on both sides.) Better yet, it dates to the 1920 season! There are only about 6-7 authentic Chapman signatures extant. (Sorry about the distortion in the one scan--the actual item is entirely free of blemishes). |

You are very welcome. It must have taken a big strong fella to swing that one! I only wish we were all at the National, admiring this stuff (instead of doing it on-line). Oh well... hopefully next year. |

I bought it off ebay last week. I only payed $700 when my high bid was alot higher. Mears sold a bat on their website just like mine for $7,500 and i think mine is nicer. |
