i have a question for those out there that own or have seen many g & b's. just about every card that i have seen has had wavy borders left to right, suggesting that they were probably hand cut in this direction. has anyone else noticed this or have any comments |

I've never even held one of these in my hand, so what I have to say is pure speculation. But it seems to me pretty likely that these cards were actually inserted into packs of gum. They're very rare, but not so rare that they could have come from 2 or 3 proof sheets that were cut up years ago by the Woody Gelman of his time. |

Not sure about how they were distributed but I would speculate, from all I have seen, that they were indeed hand cut. As far as being proofs.....don't think so.....both the portrait and fielding/batting poses are too "finished" looking, albeit a little crude....imo....take care |
