Having a dispute over $140 is one thing, but calling my home is quite another. Today you called & my wife answered. You identified her by name and then asked if my two young children were home, also by name. Your tone was threatening and she called me at the office frantic. You have crossed the line sir and I intend to file a report at the detective’s bureau tomorrow. I called them and they take these things very seriously. They referred to it as “terrorist threats”. I am certain your local police department will be equally concerned. |

I think he means the person person JerryS that posted severals times about this dispute, but I don't recall him stating anything other than Robert committed some type of fraud and never explained anything. Not that I really care. If it is true that he is making these types of phone calls, then he has crossed the line, big time. |

Bob--If Gerry returned the cards and asked for a refund, and we are talking about under $200, why just not make the refund and end this circus? If you resell these the loss, if there is one, will be tiny on a relative basis. Don't you hvae better things to do than screw around with this? |

Wait a second, this transaction happened a YEAR AND A HALF AGO and the seller already refunded you around $600 of the $750 you spent. And now you are calling his home? |

Hi Aaron, I must disagree with this as a regular seller. If someone returns 1 of my items, they get a full refund plus shipping. I feel someone should be happy with their purchase and I accept returns with for just about any reason. To refund only $600 of $750 is not necessarily fraud but I would say not good business. Just my opinion as a seller and a buyer. I also must say that I do not know Gerry and I have completed several successful transactions with Bob and he has been nothing but pleasant to me. Dan. |

I can certainly understand the frustration of getting ripped off by a seller on a baseball card. It's not the money, it's the point of the matter. What is the big deal about refunding the guy's money if he's unhappy? Do you think that extra 140 bucks you stole from him is going to make your retirement better? Sure, Gerry seems to have overreacted but this could have been avoided with just a simple refund..instead of sending the sherrif after him (I'm actually laughing while typing this). |

Gerry can jump up and dow, flap his wings and raise all the dust he wants but the issue at hand sir, can’t be masked. He called my home and what he said to my wife and how he said it, particularly about our two young children, by name, was enough to scare her. My wife did not know him nor had any knowledge of his problem. She had no axe to grind. She is no cupcake either being an E.R. RN these past fifteen years. She called me at work and I at once called my attorney who advised me what to do next. I called the Sheriff who did not find the matter funny as you do. They at once opened an investigation and assigned a detective to the case. He has taken my wife’s statement. I gave him what information I had on Gerry including his email addresses and the bogus telephone number. Did not have his full name at first but now they do. The detective advised me what to do if he called again. Laugh all you want, but when he threatened my family, he made a civil matter a criminal one, and made it personal. With any luck he will soon be using currency for cigarettes or at least wearing one of those Lojak ankle bracelets. |

If he really "threatened" anyone, they wouldn't just tell you what to do if he called again. They'd have him scooped up and brought in. |

Colt, I am assuming you are new around here since I don't recognize your name, but Robert was not the one air out dirty laundry. Gerry is the one that dragged this onto the board in another thread. |

Bob, I do have empathy with your plight, trust me. However, you have no clue about the criminal justice system at all. Take it from a criminal defense attorney--no one is getting arrested based on what you've described so far. Had Gerry left a threatening or harrassing message on voice mail or if you had taped his call in which you claimed he threatened you, then maybe you'd have a shot. So, unless you're selling trimmed cards as authentic, no one is going to be getting sold for a pack of smokes in the big house anytime soon. |

The originator of this post has contrived this self-serving hoax solely for the purpose of enlisting support of the readers of this board. There is no basis for his absurd claims. |
