I was talking to Barry today and I see that his auction is out. The catalogs apparently went out a day or two ago but for those anxious to see the lots early they can be found at www.oneplacemedia.com/sloateauction. |

I will testify that Sloate's lot #3 is a super rare and historic photograph. There are only about 5 baseball ambrotypes (early glass photograph) known to exist, and any baseball photographs from before 1860 are about as rare as hen's teeth. Baseball ambrotypes often get lost in the shuffle pricewise, as most don't realize their rarity or historical significance ... I'm not a consignor or on Barry's payroll, just thought I'd note. |

A lot of scarce cards on there, but which one of you consigned your 1960 Fleer Football near set in there? I guess it was for contrast? |
