Default Boston card shops?

Going to be in Boston for a few days soon, any good shops to see nice vintage (older the better) baseball cards? Staying in the city, plenty of free time to move around, will catch an evening home game at Fenway.

Thanks!

Darren

Here are some of my favorites when it comes to vintage. Some you’d be able to get to via public transportation, but others you’d probably need a car for.

George Pep's Baseball Cards - Quincy
Bay State Coin Co Inc - Downtown crossing
Sportsworld- Saugus (if you have car access)
Gilbert's Sports Nostalgia - Natick (if you have car access, appointment only)

Others that come to mind can be pretty hit and miss vintage wise:

Slapshot Sports - Saugus
Baystate Sports Cards and Memorabilia - Framingham

Thanks Darren for asking this! I will be moving to Boston soon and was having this exact thought, so you read my mind.

Bay State Coin has been around forever. In fact, it is briefly featured in the 1970s throwback scenes in the excellent 2023 movie The Holdovers.

That’s a cool fact! I’ll have to give that movie a watch.
