Thoroughly enjoyed the conversation! This has been a great series, check out Jeremy Lee's videos as well, same "Road to the National" series.
Check out Leighton's recent video: Interview with Mr. Mint's right hand man, Dave Czuba https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGFvUGVjsdk&t=805s |

My face to face encounters with Dan were at the Reading, PA show where he usually set up with his father and his father's friend. Friendly, always tried to help with a want or a sale.
In the interview posted on this thread, Dan mentions when in Chicago he prefers Gibson's Steakhouse. One National I was invited to a dinner at Gibson's. My seatmate leaned over to me and said: "at least two collectors at this table have two Wagners each." Myself, I had ordered the cheapest entry on the menu, and eased up on showing my Sam Thompson cabinet for which I had paid only 5K. |

I truly enjoyed the conversation between Leighton and Dan. Most fascinating to me was learning how Dan's dad acquired two different (one blue and one red) 1914 Baltimore News rookie cards of Babe Ruth back in the day, and what happened to them!
