1. Pete Alonso is going to be the NL MVP. Possibly even a World Series MVP, since he has the clutch gene.
2. Ohtani's stats aren't that bad, but he's off. He's maybe the third best bat on the Dodgers right now, behind Tommy Edman and Teoscar Hernandez. 3. The Heat looked good last night. I'm surprised that a franchise with Pat Riley's DNA could be so soft. I mean, the Heat should be kicked out of the Eastern Conference for not even trying to foul hard to instigate a fight. 4. The Cavs should be worried though, because a real Pat Riley team is coming to town after taking care of some business in Detroit and Boston. |

You're saying the Cavs should be worried about the Knicks? I assure you, they aren't even slightly concerned.

Alonso off to a great start for sure. Love that he's got as many Walks as Strikeouts so far, which is very out of the ordinary for him. Soto must be rubbing off on him a little bit. ![]() Ohtani is right in line with his normal March/April Splits, historically. He might have other hotter team-mates right now, but his pace is just fine if he keeps it up.

Yeah, I like this Knicks team. But they have not fared well against the top competition in the East.
Assuming they beat the Pistons, its going to be tough sledding from there. They were 0-4 vs. the Celtics this year, and some of those games were blowouts. If they can somehow beat the Celtics to get to the Cavs (assuming the Cavs beat the Pacers), they will being a face another team they were 0-4 against, including a 37 point loss. As for the Mets. God I love this team. The game last night featured some of the best defensive gems I've seen all year, and they had 3 in a row one inning. https://youtu.be/KCkDKwKF_iE?si=PdrVCUHvuZGz3Sup&t=342 Last edited by cgjackson222; 04-30-2025 at 06:39 PM. |

Well, the Padres got one back from the gods after trading Ozzie Smith to the Cardinals in 1982.

As for the Knicks, it wouldn't be fun if they weren't total underdogs. Bring on Boston!! |

Wow, huge OT win for the Knicks on the road in Boston! It certainly helped that Boston missed a playoff record 45 3 point shots. Hopefully Knicks can keep the pressure on.

Wow, the Cavs did not cover themselves in glory just now. I would love to see the Knicks play the Pacers in the Eastern Conference championship. With Reggie Miller in the broadcast booth.
