shoutout to all the net54 archivists...
might anyone have a copy of tts 8/1980. there is a sale ad in that edition that i would very much like a copy of. thank you for any help you can offer. mark when i posted this thread earlier today, i was hoping someone might respond. was i ever surprised when FOUR different members contacted me about their ability to help me out. thank you, gentlemen! the reason i was searching for this specific ad is that i am trying to document the provenance of all of my t206 red cobbs with different reverses. i purchased a lenox back from an ad in this tts edition more than FORTY years ago & am now able to connect the attached card to it's origin (at least it's origin to me). thank you so very much to each of you and your unselfish willingness to help me out. this is yet another tribute to our exemplory community and it's members! ps- this card was part of an amazing & large "hof- odd back" auction described as "VG+-M" with a minimum bid of $175. and wow, what a stroll down memory lane this exercise has been!

Thanks for sharing! I LOVED the Trader Speaks, I got my 1st T206 in the mail from that pub. T206 Sam Crawford Wahoo! I think it was $17 postpaid! Such a cool magazine that made me sad when it ended!
Peace, Mike |

First thing I've got to say is that's an incredible looking Cobb. Second thing, I agree that the majority of the daily users of this forum share as much info and history they possibly can with others, and they do this without needing or wanting anything in return except a respectful thank you. I would have reached out to you also, if I had any of that publication but currently don't, but maybe one day I'll get around to gathering as many issues as I can, just for the history and the ability to reference and share as much info as possible when someone makes a request. I do have a complete VCBC Vintage & Classic Baseball Collector magazine set of 38 issues. So if you ever need an article scanned from that series, just ask. And if you or anyone notice someone looking for an article, just send them my way. It's been a crazy year for all of us, and this community brings some much needed normalcy during these crazy times.
