Default WTB: Brooks Robinson signed cards - in PEN

Wanted to start an autograph run of Brooks Robinson cards, but I wanted to collect them all in pen (may do a sharpie run next). Looking for a nice card, with a bold autograph. Mainly looking for the regular issue cards, but if you have others, that are non modern, let me know what you have available.

Thanks!

Mark

FWIW he has been signing TTM with a small donation lately, if you have some specific cards you want signed I'd just go directly through the man himself! (Unless you are specifically looking for vintage sigs). Good luck!

Got a '61 Topps #10 signed in pen. Card has vg-ex appearance but has a tiny pin hole at top of cap. And, I don't know that I'd characterize the sig as being bold (though it is on the uni and arm and not on the dark background so certainly is visible). If it sounds like something you'd have interest in just shoot me a pm...

Yea, he signs for $10 per item. He even responded to the questions I asked.

Thank you guys for the input. I am looking for more vintage autographs so sending TTM isn’t really an option. I am thinking once I’ve completed this project I’ll go back and do a regular issue autograph run in sharpie. That should be relatively easy to complete, and just a matter of saving some money for the purchases, since he has signed a lot of cards and it would be just a matter of time to complete. Most are are available currently through eBay with sharpie signatures.

Jim - I’m really for looking for cards that are in at least Ex condition for the project, but I appreciate the response.

I have a 1962 that was signed in the 90s. Not exactly a vintage signature

Where do you send the items? Do you just include a check written to him? So if I want to send 5 cards I put a check for $50 to Brooks Robinson in the mail with the cards and a SASE?

Thanks - Steve

Yes, you can make the check to him. It's not necessarily $10 per item, people send him varied amounts and as long as *some* money is included most people are getting 2-3 items signed. If you're sending 5 items I would probably send $25 and a kind letter. Make sure you include a return envelope with pre-paid shipping so he can simply drop it in the mail and get it back to you.

Default Brooks Robinson Pen Auto’s

Thought I’d bring this up to the top and inform the net54 group that I’m still actively looking for signed Brooks Robinson cards from ‘57 through ‘78. I started several months ago searching for just his regular issue cards, but since then I have picked up a few others that were in subsets. Just let me know what you have available.

Also, this is just a side project so if you have any rare odd-ball Brooksie items I may be interested in those items as well.

Thanks for all the responses so far...

Default Brooks Robinson Autographed items

I just picked up several Brooksie autographed cards this week (Thanks Barry!). I’m looking for a few more; let me know what you have available. Also, if it’s an upgrade I’d like to do that as well.

The following are the main cards I’m still looking for to complete the regular run:

1957
1961
1963
1975
1978

There are some of those above available for sale currently, but hopefully I can find better examples.

Thanks in advance.

Mark

The following are the main cards I’m still looking for to complete a regular issue Brooksie run:

1957
1961
1963
1975
1978

All of the years listed above are available on eBay, but I’d like to pick up better examples so I don’t have to upgrade in the future.

Also, I’d surely consider other years as well if it’s an upgrade to what I currently have. Kinda got in a rush to complete and picked up a few that I’d like to upgrade.

Default Brooks Robinson - autograph in pen

Still looking for some nice examples of Brooks Robinson autographed cards in pen. I’m only working on a project to collect playing day autographs. I have picked up a few signed cards that we’re not the regular issue cards over the last couple of months, but still looking for the following:

1957
1961
1963
1978 - it’s weird, but there are plenty of examples out there, but they are all light OR signed up/down. You’d think this would be one of the easiest to pick up. Maybe it was a time when a lot of individuals went for sharpie signed cards.

Any help to complete the run I’d appreciate.

Willing to pay for nice examples of the above. Also, always looking to upgrade what I already have.
