I stumbled across this company and their site and figured some on here might enjoy looking at these:
http://shop.americanneedle.com/collections/baseball There are some pretty awesome looking vintage baseball caps. I don't know how historically accurate these reproductions are necessarily, but I'm sure a few will chime to give their opinion. |

Love the throwback stuff and American Needle is one of the best imo. Another company I've purchased from in the past is Common-union.com Mostly Negro League stuff but pretty cool.

Ideal Cap Co. is the re-incarnation of the old Cooperstown Ball Cap Co., if you recall them. They make ballcaps just like the 1800-s-1940's with real wool, soft (not stiff like modern caps) crowns and leather sweatbands. I must admit Will, the owner, has been a client and friend of mine since 1988, but since then I've never owned another ballcap except the ones he makes. If you want to feel like Eddie Plank, you need this cap. Need to celebrate Wrigley Field's Anniversary the RIGHT way, don't forget to wear as close to a real '14 Whales cap like this one.

Gary one of my favorite memories of my 1989 trip to Cooperstown was being fitted for a 1908 St. Louis Browns cap at Cooperstown Cap Co.. I still have those neat little card sets they used to send out promoting their caps.
When my cap arrived about six weeks later I pulled out the T205 Collins I purchased next door to them and sat out on the patio reliving the trip in my mind! Great memories. |

An obvious name to add is Ebbets Field Flannels (www.ebbets.com), they make some outstanding hats and jerseys and all of them are made in the U.S.
Unfortunately, they don't have a license for MLB teams. They did however produce some of the best MLB replica hats for Mitchell & Ness, which are now highly sought after. American Needle in my opinion are some of the worst replicas out there (they are made in Bangladesh as well) and lack any detail a true vintage replica cap should have. The sad fact is, that at the current moment there are no high quality MLB replica hats available. The last company that produced a well made replica hat was Roman Pro, but they are long gone. |

I found purchasing American Needle caps online to be frustrating because their sizing is very inconsistent.
I liked Roman Pro replica caps but it always bothered me that their Senators '68 - '71 replica cap had a black outline (instead of the correct blue color) around the white, curly W. |
