Best way to remove stains

I have a t206 with a coffee colored stain on the border. It's only about a 1/4 inch long. But i would really like to remove this without damaging the card itself. Is this possible ? Also the best way to remove excess paper from a scrap book left behind when the card was removed.

I thought i remembered someone saying this could be done relativly easily without damage.
