identify7The response which was generated was not very supportive of this notion, and I imagine that my example will not be viewed any more favorably. Although it is a fun concept and endeavor for me. My analysis follows:
A card is a card.
Cracker Jacks are rather flimsey, but still cards. Are Mello-Mints?
A stamp is a stamp. You know: perforations (or none), stickey on the back - often used to mail stuff.
A baseball card is a card with a baseball theme, and more.
A baseball stamp is not a card, it is a stamp.

I agree with that. But I have found a combination which can be anything (maybe) I want it to be.
It is a card which contains stamps with a baseball theme. Real stamps, $0.37 denomination. Semi-rigid card contains about ten stamps. Can peel the stamps off and use them for postage.
It is a card with a baseball theme.
The baseball theme is anticipated to be a CJ Jackson card. Or actually a picture of a Jackson Cracker Jack on each stamp. But not a real CJ Jackson picture, a Dover reprint.
As it turns out the USPS has a deal with a subcontractor to produce custom stamps from scans provided by the public. Im sure that there are some restrictions. But we got a set with my dog on them, and that led me (naturally) to this insanity.
In your estimation, is the resultant product a baseball card? Is it vintage? Is it real? Is it a reprint? Is it a stamp? Is this post O/T? Please elaborate.
PS. ItsOnlyCards - some of it is for fun.
