Just got in an epic collection and in it were a few Rochester Baking A's but there was also a Dygert blank back. Doing some digging I found that the E104-1's can come blank backed, but here's the thing there's a very neat, apparently stamped horizontally and very well centered:
SWIFT, 244 w. 23d St. Has anyone seen this particular back stamp before?

The stamps are fairly well known and SGC will put the stamp on the label too...
That said, I am always super cautious on the stamps and don't really like them when they don't look like ones that came from original collections.

Thanks I think mine and your Mack are a pretty good match. These have been in the collection since the late 70's early 80's he wasn't able to be more specific. Interesting that the Philadelphia A's World Series cards show up in a variety store in CA!

Leon, I'll be shocked if SGC will note "SWIFT" on its label for this card. As I recently mentioned in another thread, I was recently told by a SGC customer service rep that SGC is no longer noting back stamps on its labels. I learned this when I asked SGC why this fairly-recently slabbed Henry A. Johnson card of Peckinpaugh I acquired did not have "HAJ" noted on its label. This also explains why SGC didn't note Wool's Bread on the label of this WaJo card I got slabbed last summer. BUMMER!!
