Default O/T Does Anyone Know How to Reach David Festberg?

So, the title pretty much says it all. A lady reached out to me recently, now a forum member, and said she is the daughter of David Festberg. David was in the hobby for many years, if not still currently? She would like to get in contact with him. IF anyone knows how to, or his whereabouts, please let me know via PM or otherwise. Thanks in advance.

And a totally unrelated card so the thread can have more of a pre-war card vibe.

Last I heard, David had gone to Bhutan to find the meaning of life from a Wise Man there. Don't know if he returned with the secret or not.

As I recall, Brian Catequet (sp?) was put in charge of liquidating David's dealer stock. It's been a few years, but possibly he has some information? And no, I don't have contact information for Brian.

He popped up at the AC National several years ago, after his venture to the far east..

Hi Leon,
Festberg had a coworker/friend named Anthony who went on to work at REA after Festberg closed shop. Ask Dean (or Brian) at REA, they might be able to get you in touch with Anthony. Unfortunately, Dean is on vacation thru the holidays.

Oh, and happy holidays to you and your family

To sum up, so far he is said to be a liquidating, thieving, bodhisattva father who occasionally hangs out in Jersey?

Thank you for this Leon! And hello fellow hobbyists. I haven’t heard from my dad since around 2016 - prior to that, he was back and forth to India on a spiritual healing journey which at the time I didn’t understand and we unfortunately became estranged. I have no idea where he is now and hoping to find him. Has anyone seen him recently? Just knowing he is OKAY would bring me some comfort. I really appreciate the help in advance. And thanks for welcoming me to your community.

I don’t know him or his daughter. I wish her good luck. I hope he wants to be found. It must be very difficult not knowing where your parent is or if they are ok. I can’t imagine how difficult that must be.

David was one of the top dealers of the 1990s. I don't think he did shows, maybe the National, but I never met him. I did buy stuff from him through auctions, and was always pleased. I feel for his daughter, and I hope this saga ends well.

He is a member here, under the username yogirajdavid, though it looks like his last login was in March of 2019.
