A couple of cool rookie cards.
It's a shame I didn't ask SGC to only give an "AUTH" to the Brett, but I just assumed they would...instead of number grading it (the stupid 1 is based solely on the obvious miscut, as there is nothing else wrong with it whatsoever). Yikes!! Having learned my lesson, I attached a note to the Bench to ensure it rightfully only got the "AUTH"... 1968bench1975brettRCmiscutSGCsm.jpg

Just to show you all they knew how to get things poorly done back in the prewar era as well.

I collected miscuts (mostly T206 backs) for a time, but haven't bought any recently. My prize possessions in that category are these backs, which are all upside down and have parts of four Piedmont backs. I believe eight are known to exist, though that was a number from 10+ years ago, so more may have been found...

I've owned many T206 miscuts over the years, really fun (rare & desirable) category. I know some great collectors who will likely post more in this thread...In the meantime, here's a few I currently own...

I had the Doolan to start, and was thrilled when I was able to have Cy join him in my collection to keep him company. They're sticking with me for a while!

Tremendous *drastic* miscuts. So rare and desirable.

I think it’s a sliver of Hughie Jennings on the left:

I have always liked miscuts. I don't think this one was sold when my first collection was...

I bought a lot of 47 miscut cards from 1975-86 about 7-8 years ago and haven’t looked through them in a long time. I thought they were all back miscuts, but I just saw the stack and found these while looking through them

This one's nowhere near as nice as a lot of the ones posted, a sliver of another card is visible on the right border.
