Default 1953 Topps Mickey Mantle help

I understand it is hard to tell by a picture. It is much easier if the card is in hand. But for all you vintage
collectors is there any tell tales on this card that should tell me to stay away from it. PLMK. thanks in advance.

The only thing I can see from the photos is that the bottom edge looks like it might be trimmed. Can't say for sure. If you can get the card in hand, I'd look at the edge with a magnifying glass and see if it looks similar to the other edges.

Nice card.

I'm not sure it's real.
1) Oversaturated red.
2) Could be a photocopy; back doesn't look like natural fibers/texture.
3) For the age and damage to edges and corners, the surface is nearly flawless.

I’m not seeing any obvious red flags like artificial aging and wear. The color looks a little off, but that very well may be the photo quality. You’re gonna have to see this one in person.

Thanks a lot for all the input. I was asking on behave of a friend.I just was talking with him
and he made the decision to buy the card.He was convinced it is real.He will be at the front door
of a grading service on Tuesday to have it graded/authenticated.I hope it works out for him.It was
really very cheap and that was the biggest red flag for him. Thanks, Again.

I wasn’t going to chime in, but others stated the color was off… I thought the red was off too.
