Hi everyone,
I'm putting together a run of Yankee yearbooks (both official team issued and Jay issued.) My problem is deciding on how to store them to protect them but also to be easy to get the yearbook in and out to read and look at them. I can see these yearbooks being used as reference material and something to be fun to read for enjoyment. I've been trying to get ideas the last week or so for them. My problem is I don't particularly care for the thin magazine holders with the back board and the envelope at the top with tape on it to close the bag up. But with close to 75 or 80 yearbooks so far, I don't want to spend a ton of money either. In one place on a website I saw a holder that to me looked like a door that will open and then click shut when it's closed. I'd say these holders are about 1/8" to 1/4" deep and the yearbook would sit inside of the bottom portion and then a door on hinges and a little knob on it to maybe click together to shut the holder up. Anyone know about something I've described, or anything that would work for storage? Please give links to any web sites would be appreciated. Thanks for all help you can give me. Also have another question for you loyal Yankee fans here. I have been told and have heard rumors and stories about a 1949 yearbook, but can not find anything substantiated either way, yay or nay. The best I can find is the earliest being 1950. Now for a photo, not of a yearbook yet as I'm just beginning to scan them. What I do have (2 things actually) is a charm that goes along with the 1981 press pin. The other is a booklet (8 1/2" by 5") called "Play Ball for the Yankees". Here's a picture of the charm. |

I use these rigid toploaders. Crystal clear and won't allow the yearbook to bend/crease. They come in different sizes, thickness and prices, so just shop around you'll find one to meet your needs....

If you are more Interested in access than protection, then you could consider magazine slipcovers. They are basically boxes to store them in. The downside is that they don't offer much protection from being, etc.
Here is an auction the type of item I mean. You can find them without any branding. Maybe you could find one with a Yankee logo if you look on etsy or similar. https://www.ebay.com/itm/27552390973...mis&media=COPY Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk
