Cal hubbard & umpire collecting
Last year I acquired a couple of vintage signed balls by umpires. I've been collecting for about 60 years or so, but never really paid any attention to umpires. Once I got the baseballs I did a little research on the umpires, and it wasn't until then that I found out Mr. Hubbard is the only person to be elected to both the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the Baseball Hall of Fame. Football as a player and baseball as an umpire. It just amazed me that a person could be elected to both. Attached is a picture of the ball. Just wondering if any one out there collects Hubbard and would like to share something from their collection. Also, one is never to old to learn something new!
