I'm looking for some input on how best to store a small collection of PSA slabs (10-20). I don't want or need a giant safe, but I'd prefer something fire/waterproof in the event of a disaster. I also prefer to keep my cards at home (no safety deposit boxes) so I can look at them.
Does anybody have any recommendations on smaller storage options to keep my cards safe? Possibly something that would fit into a desk drawer |

I personally like something like this. It is fireproof and water proof and it is portable(not light)

Not fire proof, but a lot of collectors seem to like this style case (comes in different sizes) from Harbor Freight. https://www.harborfreight.com/4800-w...ack-64250.html

Mine aren't stored in anything fireproof or waterproof, but they are well insured. I opt for peace of mind over Ft. Knox.

I'm a little paranoid when it comes to fire (had a friend lose a world class comic collection to house fire in the 80's). I like higher rated media safes. I use this small one for my backup hard drive but put some cards in it just to show you the size (holds about 35 depending on thickness). These are fairly pricey new but I found this one on craigslist for $40 several years ago. They're also heavy. I have a small refrigerator sized FireKing media safe I use for cards that took a forklift to move...

If you are worried about your collection than the first thing you should get is collectibles insurance before you worry about RSC. Insurance will cover incidentals and in addition theft which most RSC can be gotten into in minutes if not taken with them.

Not necessarily fire proof, but these do fit slabs well and provide some protection as well as ability to transport them.

I keep a lot of stuff (non-graded) in milsurp 7.62 and .50 ammo boxes. The carry handles are convenient, they keep things out well enough for non-paranoid use. They are waterproof. They stack decently too.
