Default How Will World War III Affect Card Values?

Will WW3 affect the hobby, if it escalates into that?

I don't think Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War, or Iraq/Aghanistan affected things. WW1 and WW2 most certainly did.

Thoughts?

I'm imaging a Limited 1/100 Zombie refractor edition, with game? used scraps would be quite popular with the post apocalyptic kids...
Stats on Zombie kills, saves, etc...
WAR would take on a new meaning entirely.

If that's the case, how many rolls for a Wagner? My wife has been stockpiling plus we could throw in some ammo to sweeten the deal. Let me know!

Pretty sure that PSA holders will protect against nuclear fallout so we should all be okay.

At baseball card school they're already practicing the new 'duck and cover,' where you grab your slabs and shoeboxes and find shelter under a wooden desk.

Default Seriously?

I hope this is a joke, because this post is beyond silly. I think if there was a world war cards should be the last thing on your mind. Post something more hobby related I get enough politics/conflicts from other media outlets.

OP here...it was meant to be funny. Not trying to get anyone upset. After 26 years in the Navy, I guess I have a warped sense of humor.

The proliferation of nukes would suggest most of us will be dead, causing prices to plummet as so many collections come to market at the same time.

All the people who told me spending thousands of dollars to build my card bunker was stupid will be proven wrong.

Your sense of humor is right where it should be. I appreciate the thought provoking threads. Our society has gone way too soft. Can’t even have a discussion without someone taking the overly sensitive approach.

Agreed. Enough apologizing going on already.

By the way, you T206 collectors better hope you can trade those things for TP because you certainly would not want to try to use them as TP. He with the most most M114's and M101-1s (and -2s) wins!

I am in agreement with this. Too politically correct nowadays. Can't say anything without hurting someone's feelings (as I walk a tightrope LOL)

My experience is that the people most butt-hurt generally are the ones whining about other people being too sensitive. I wouldn't know either way, as I am about as sensitive to the feelings of others as a rock, though I do hate stupid, rude, prejudiced and/or ignorant people. They can all bite me.

Whenever life gets you down, Mrs. Brown,
And things seem hard or tough,
And people are stupid, obnoxious or daft,
And you feel that you've had quite eno-o-o-o-o-ough,

Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving
And revolving at 900 miles an hour.
It's orbiting at 19 miles a second, so it's reckoned,
The sun that is the source of all our power.

Now the sun, and you and me, and all the stars that we can see,
Are moving at a million miles a day,
In the outer spiral arm, at 40, 000 miles an hour,
Of a galaxy we call the Milky Way.

Our galaxy itself contains a hundred billion stars;
It's a hundred thousand light-years side to side;
It bulges in the middle sixteen thousand light-years thick,
But out by us it's just three thousand light-years wide.

We're thirty thousand light-years from Galactic Central Point,
We go 'round every two hundred million years;
And our galaxy itself is one of millions of billions
In this amazing and expanding universe.

Our universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding,
In all of the directions it can whiz;
As fast as it can go, at the speed of light, you know,
Twelve million miles a minute and that's the fastest speed there is.

So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure,
How amazingly unlikely is your birth;
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere out in space,
'Cause there's bugger all down here on Earth!

T206s will plummet in price while 1967 Topps Pinups will increase greatly because of the much greater wiping surface.

So far, the only thing to turn in to toilet paper has been the ruble. The exchange rate is currently around 105 rubles per dollar. By comparison, one dogecoin is currently worth about 12.3 cents, or a little over eight per dollar.
