I know it is not prewar, but a bit surprised no one has mentioned this video yet.

This happened to me maybe 10 years ago - they sent me my cards along with others. Nothing value wise like this order, but still it was several thousand dollars.
I contacted PSA and sent them right back - I had an order of maybe 40-50 cards with them at the time, which they did for me at no charge as a thank you. (No bonus 10s as a thank you though!) |

has a statement that is very appropriate:
Integrity is what you do when no one is looking! Money can be made and lost easily. Integrity once lost, is difficult and painful to restore. No question - I would make every effort to get these back to their original owner and get what was mine. The "good" you feel knowing the relief someone else feels (even better if you get to see or hear it) as a consequence of your "right" actions is WAY more valuable than money.
