Default One player, different names

Hank Aaron is of course Henry Aaron on a couple of issues.
Roberto Clemente was sometimes Roberto more often Bob.
Dick Allen also was Richie Allen, and at least two years he was Rich Allen. That's amazing, THREE names.

Who else?

Pete Appleton (1939-40 Play Ball) is Pete Jablonowski for 1933 Goudey.

Most are just nicknames.

But some...
From a bit of googling
Pete Appleton, formerly Pete Jablonowski

Then there's extending into other sports

World B. Free / Lloyd Bernard Free
Ron Artest / Metta World Peace / Metta Sandiford-Artest
