My kids are at the middle school age where they like to play the game 'Would You Rather', usually including 2 terrible choices for your consideration.
I've been thinking about posing this question to the Net54 crowd regarding my 2 E95 Cobb PSA 1's, kind of like UllmanDDS did about 10 days ago for his 2 Cobbs. My 2 cards each have a different 'fatal flaw', so to speak. One has many small creases and the other is missing a piece from the corner. I think they both display well with good color and a sharp image, but I've had thoughts about trading one off for another T or E card. Backs of both cards are clean. Which one do you like better? |

I like them both of course because Cobb e95 is amazing. My strong preference is the top one bc of the corner on the bottom one.

Actually they both look good for a 1.
But I prefer the first one biggest it is more complete where the 2nd has the piece missing in bottom left

I prefer the one with the minor creases and all its corners in tact by a mile. But both are great cards!

I'm going with the bottom card. I agree the gashed corner is initially glaring, but upon continued review, it doesn't actually affect the image area of the card and really is not much worse than the lower right corner of the top card. At the same time the top card has off-putting creases that make it hard to look at the face. On balance, I think the creases are worse, but only because of where they fall.

I would go with the first one without the mouse nibbled corner.

I have to say, I much prefer the one without all the creases.
Did I say I Hate Creases? Because I do hate creases! The missing corner doesn't bother me much, because it doesn't affect Cobb's image; it does not negatively affect the eye appeal nearly as much as all the creases do on the other card. Steve

Missing chunks in the border don't typically bother me. However this duo is a tough call, but even with the creases the first one gets the nod from me because of the bolder colors.

Of all people to click the wrong one, I did. Take one away from the keeper being the chunk missing, over to the creased card. I would keep it.

Missing corner is less bad than damage through the image. The creased up one will sell for more too. Sell the creased, keep the missing corner with the better image.

I think the overall photo, eye appear of the main portion of the card is better in the example with the corner chunk that is gonzo....I have a W600 Crawford that has similar mouse damage on an entire side of the board but the rest of the card is really nice. To me, I like the non-creased version better.
Great conversation topic by the way! |
