You might want to check out this old post about the Sportscaster Cards. It has links to some websites that might help.

Here's a really helpful checklist web link:

I was poking around on the Trading Card Data Base site, and along with full checklists for each series of the Sportscaster cards, they have prices for some of the individual cards.

Default Sportscaster Cards

My question is about pack grading and/or opening packs in the Sportscaster cards. I've always been of the opinion that you shouldn't open hard to find packs because the cards inside are not worth as much as people are willing to pay for the "unknown" of what's in the unopened pack. However, these card packs are different. The packs are labeled, and so you know exactly which cards are inside each pack. I acquired a large collection of unopened packs and have several of the rare packs with rookie cards inside (Gretzky, Magic, Bird). Would it be better to get the unopened packs graded to maximize value? Or would opening the packs and getting the individual cards graded make the most sense? Would it be worth the cost to get the regular packs graded, or should they just be sold raw? I'm looking for opinions.

My two cents; I’d auction them off unopened and let the winners take on the grading project.
