I don't participate in the packs/boxes anymore, have not for years. However that embedded video with all the guys racing to card section makes me a little embarrassed to be a collector, even though that is nothing like me. It's pathetic.
That is what money does to a hobby.

I read that article also. Not surprised by anything in it. Greed is bad on any level including baseball cards.

Hey Guys, new guy on the forum but an old collector.
This was the kind of stuff that chased me from the hobby 10-12 years ago, the greed as the stupid behavior of "collectors/investors". It was really embarrassing and disillusioned me on the hobby. I'm still a huge baseball fan and will buy the occasional pack but gu bats and jerseys have stuck with me when a bargain comes up. Found this forum so hopefully you guys can get me excited about the hobby again.
