Default The "New" Old Trading T206 Thread

I was having a "walk down memory lane" conversation with one of my "oldest" T206 friends, Dougscats recently. He came up with the great idea of starting another "The T206 Trading Post" thread (trade mark -- Dougscats ).

We haven't, I believe, had one of these in many years. But, I do remember they were quite popular and very successful.

Of course, it's fine to post separate "wants/needs" threads individually. This is just a thread to have a "joint venture."

With the notable (and continuing) rising prices of cards, trading is always another option .............. and trading is FUN !!!!!!!!

So, if interested, list your needs, and possible trading options.

"Ironically" I have nothing to trade .... ..... but here is a link to my needs:

https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=291425

So, let's have at it ................

Fun, fun, Scott

Default EPDG Bresnahan, Old Mill Dineen, SC 25's, and more--

Looking ifor upgrades on most hall-of-famers and many commons; also, back-stamps, oddities, SC 460/25, and uncommon backs.
I prefer ungraded but like graded too.

Have these to start:

BRESNAHAN, batting, EPDG, BVG 3.5, [Over-graded? Lot of corner wear, upper right, for a 3.5],
Clancy, Piedmont 350, SGC 30, [oversized]

Dineen, Old Mill, SGC 20, [Intriguing card: oversized/miscut: measures 2 11/16" with slight diamond cut; half-name on bottom, huge blank top, which makes me wonder if this card was on the top row of an uncut sheet. I should add that the card looks to me to be in G+ condition. SGC may lump miscuts in the 20 grade; I know they do that for marked cards.],

Kleinow catching, Bos, [b] SC 460/25, ~SP], SGC 50, (Is this considered a Short Print? Technically excellent with a tough back; if you don’t mind the diamond-cut, this is a bargain). --SOLD--

Quillen, Piedmont, SGC A [Looks Ex, presumably trimmed],

along with these [Scans upon request]:

SC 460/25: Danny Murphy batting, PSA 1.5, and
Gabby Street catching, SGC 30.

SC 350/25: Hal Chase throwing, dark cap, SGC 30, and
Josh Clark, SGC 50.

I also have 5 ungraded, including 2 SL's. See Post 15 below.

And I have a hundred more, with a variety of backs, such as OM, Sovereign, Tolstoi, EPDG, and more. But I'd only trade these for cards I want dearly.

Default It's "Trading Post," Scott, "T206 Trading Post"! It's yours.

Anyway, no bites yet.

My excitement has abated.

Doesn't anyone want to trade?
Won't anyone come out to play?

I suspect that many collectors, like Scott, don't have much left,
that Covid has created many more collectors, and that supply is thinner than ever.

And, while I'm very happy my collection is worth much more than it was,
I don't want to pay the prices that T206's are going for!

Yet, I still yearn to collect.

Maybe I don't want to buy, but I wouldn't mind trading!

Ideally, looking for a fair trade with someone who matches up with me.

Aside from what I mentioned in the previous post, here's some other stuff I have to trade:

19th c. Woodcuts: https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=283138
19th c., N29 G. Miller: https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=285699
T205: https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=260937
T202 Middle Panels: https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=265602
1920's-50, H-o-F Odds and Ends: https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=285669
1950-59: https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=287904

Also available:

E91 Jacklitsch SGC 10--nice Poor

1914 Polo Grounds Game card, Frank Baker, SGC A [clipped corner; otherwise VG],

T220 Champions [Boxing]:
Tommy Ryan, PSA 4,
Terry McGovern, PSA 4,
Jack O'Brien, PSA 4,
Jack McAuliffe, PSA 4,
Freddie Welsh, PSA 4.5,
Johnny Frayne, PSA 5

Topps:
1982 #21 Bonner/Ripken {RC], PSA 6.

Oh, I also have some h-of rookie card doubles-nothing too valuable, Whitey Ford, the best--that I'd love to trade for ones I need.

Thanks.

Doug

Above is a link to my current trade cards, nothing but what I have listed for sale on the BST, but I’m Open to any trade proposals, although my need list is pretty thin these days.

Always willing to entertain trades. Also, I will have a few new toughies available soon

Cheers All

Here are a few that I would potentially be open to trading. The Seymour, Merkle and Mathewson have back stamps, which isn’t really my thing. Ideally I’d trade them to someone who is into back stamps for the same card minus the stamp. Would be willing to look at similarly valued t206s as well.

The Gehrig is in an SGC holder, while all my other Goudey HOFers are PSA. Would look to trade for a PSA Gehrig.

Note: the Merkle is definitely trimmed and the Gehrig may have pencil marks/smudging on the front and/or back.

Default Needs

I have around 50 dupes that I am looking to trade for what I need. I have bought lots on here. Made 1 trade and never sold anything, so I am sure my pictures will suck. If there is any interest in anything let me know and I can take better individual pics. I will post my needs with pictures of reprints as I am too lazy to type all the names. I will post needs then haves. I am doing this from a phone and never uploaded pics here so bare with me if there are a bunch of odd posts. First pic is hall of famers i need. Don't reckon I will knock too many off that list but just in case.
